Storyville Tattoo Studio Relocation to Honor Oak Park

11.10.2024 — Storyville

Storyville Tattoo Studio Team Shot in Honor Oak Park Studio

How long have you guys been in the new spot? Where is it? How do people find you?

We’re excited to (finally) share that Storyville Tattoo Studio relocated from East Dulwich to Honor Oak Park at the end of January 2024, and we absolutely love our new neighbourhood! For those unfamiliar with Honor Oak Park, it’s a charming, leafy part of South East London with a relaxed vibe, much like our previous location in East Dulwich. However, Honor Oak Park offers some fantastic improvements, especially in terms of accessibility. With excellent transport links, including the East London Overground line, our tattoo studio is easy to reach from all over London. We’re proud to be the first tattoo studio in Honor Oak Park, and we love that our high street is filled with independently owned businesses.

How does working from a new location feel? Has it given the team a boost by having a bit of a fresh start?

As a team of passionate (fragile, delicate) tattoo artists, moving to a new location can be daunting, especially when the old spot worked so well for us. But after just a short time in our new Honor Oak Park tattoo studio, we all feel completely at home. The fresh start has given everyone a boost, sparking new creative energy in the team.

Can you share any memorable stories or experiences from the move and the first few months?

Moving a tattoo studio in London is no small feat—it’s a bit like moving house but with even more gear! We were incredibly lucky to have the support of friends who helped us out. A special shoutout to our new neighbours at Amrutha! Arvin, the delightful owner, has brought us delicious pakoras several times, which always goes down a treat. If you haven’t tried Amrutha yet, we highly recommend it—it’s all vegan and absolutely sensational. Since moving to Honor Oak Park, we’ve met so many wonderful people, and our experience has been one of acceptance, excitement, and a very warm welcome.

What can clients expect when visiting the new Storyville Tattoo studio?

Even though our location has changed, our ethos hasn’t. Our loyal clients tell us every day that the vibe in our Honor Oak Park tattoo studio remains the same—relaxed, inclusive, and welcoming. We’ve still got our vintage Tannoy speakers providing an eclectic soundtrack, and whether you’re an old hand at getting inked or a first-timer, you can always expect a smile and a warm welcome.

How has it been having a studio on the main high street with neighbours?

Our previous studio was pretty hidden away—let’s be honest, it was completely tucked out of sight! Being on the high street now is a game-changer. We love that people can just pop in to say hello, check out our work, and chat about tattoo ideas. If you’re thinking of getting a tattoo in Honor Oak Park, our junior artist Chris is usually available for walk-ins. You can’t miss him—his workstation is right inside the front door!

Do you have any local spots you’d recommend to clients when visiting?

We’re fortunate to be surrounded by fantastic independent businesses in Honor Oak Park. A few of our favourites include Amrutha (yes, it’s worth mentioning twice!) for amazing South Asian vegan food, Marvellous Greens and Beans on Brockley Rise for all your deli and grocery needs, and the Oak Cafe, a proper old-school cafe directly opposite our studio. The Oak Cafe has been serving up great food with a smile for over 40 years!

What are the plans for the studio over the next few months?

As we settle into our new Honor Oak Park location, we plan to continue doing what we’ve been doing since 2017 — providing top-quality tattoos and a fantastic experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Whether you’re new to tattoos or an experienced collector, we’re here to make sure you leave with ink you love.

Stay tuned for upcoming flash days and events, as we’re excited to keep the creative energy flowing in our new space!
